Gold Diggers Garden Club, Dahlonega, GA, USA

Gold Diggers is a Garden Club in Dahlonega, Georgia. (aka GDGC)

The club meets monthly at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Lumpkin County Senior Center. GDGC is not affiliated with the Senior Center, although we maintain a flower garden in front of the Senior Center as a community service. Beginning Feb 2017, we will have a social with light snacks beginning at 6:45pm.

At this time the club now has an Official Facebook Page thanks to member Rena Beam.

GDGC meetings typically run from 1-2 hours in length depending on the program. The meeting is expected to be over no later than 8:45pm. Programs consist of well known gardeners or other speakers on related topics. Speakers may be club members giving talks on their specialties. The club will have member plant swaps or show-and-tells several times a year. The club will typically have one or two field trips each year to public or private gardens within an hour's drive of Dahlonega. We have several members who put on crafting workshops once or twice a year.

Several area Master Gardeners are active members.

The club holds a picnic each fall at a member's orchard.

GDGC provides Christmas bags of goods to an area charity each December.
